《科学与工程中的特征值问题》授课通知
应十大网赌信誉老品牌网站郭玉坤教授的邀请，美国密歇根理工大学孙继广教授将于近日在十大老品牌网赌信誉平台排名讲授“高水平专家共建本科课程“—《科学与工程中的特征值问题》（英文名：Eigenvalue Problems in Science and Engineering）。该课程为夏季学期专业选修课，主要面向具有计算背景的高年级本科生和研究生（包括博士生），同时欢迎其他感兴趣的师生参加。

课程简介： 中文：特征值问题存在于科学和工程的众多应用中，例如结构力学，量子化学，电网，磁流体，控制论等。最近在大数据领域特征值，特征值问题也有很多核心应用，包括机器学习，数据挖掘，模式识别，社交网络。本课程将提供特征值问题在这些领域的最新进展，深入探讨矩阵特征值问题，偏微分方程特征值问题，特征值问题在大数据的图谱理论和主成分分析中的应用，以及逆谱问题。
英文：Eigenvalue problems arise in many scientific and engineering applications such as structural dynamics, quantum chemistry, electrical networks, magnetohydrodynamics, control theory. Recently, they become more and more important in emerging areas of big data sciences, including machine learning, data mining, pattern recognition, social networks. This course will provide an up-to-date overview of eigenvalue problems in science and engineering. The materials include eigenvalue problems of matrices, partial differential equations, and their applications in spectral clustering and principal component analysis. Inverse eigenvalue problems will also be discussed.
教师简介：孙继广毕业于清华大学应用数学系。在University of Delaware师从于麦克斯韦有限元方法的专家Peter Monk，获得应用数学博士。之后在University of North Carolina, Charlotte从事博士后研究。现在任Michigan Technological University终身正教授（tenured full professor）。孙继广是特征值问题有限元方法和逆散射理论方面的国际知名专家。近年来从事传输特征值计算的研究，是这个研究方向国际一流学者。从2004年至今在Inverse Problems, SIAM Journal of Numerical Analysis, Numerische Mathematik, Journal of Computational Physics等杂志上发表60余篇文章，其中和中科院计算所的周爱辉教授合作的专著Finite Element Methods for Eigenvalue Problems在2016年由Taylor & Francis公司出版。
